While walking home from work on October 17, 2008, Matt was struck from behind by an SUV. He lost one leg and became a paraplegic due to this accident. Among many other problems that he incurred, his suffering was great. Even with all his injuries, he had a awesome attitude he was upbeat and hopeful, giving his family and friends inspiration. Following school, he worked in a nursery for a year and then he moved on to Stream. He enjoyed anything to do with electronics, computers as well as many game systems. His plans were to become a physiotherapist on a Cruise Ship earning and saving enough money to go to Dental School.
