Matthew David Hubner

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Matthew David Hubner on January 28, 2018, at the age of 24. Matthew will be deeply missed by his parents Alfred Hubner and Kim Hubner, his birth-mother Trish Doyle and birth-father Blake Baldassi, his sister Alison Doyle, his grampa Dave Kochan, his Oma Hulda Hubner, Uncle Harry (Karen) Hubner, Uncle Peter Kochan, Aunt Colleen Kochan, Uncle Patrick Doyle, Uncle Reid O'Flaherty, his cousins Patrick O'Flaherty, Keely (Les) Lindhout and Gerrit and Marlee, and so many amazing friends. Matthew was predeceased by his gramma Marie Kochan and his Aunty Anita O'Flaherty.

Matthew was born May 9, 1993, in New Westminster and was raised in Chilliwack. He attended Little Mountain Elementary, and graduated from Chilliwack Senior Secondary in 2011. As a youth he enjoyed the outdoors and had many adventures within the scouting community, the friendships he made would become lifelong. At the age of 10, Matt discovered music and this became his passion in life. He was an avid guitar player and songwriter. He was a member of many bands and considered his band mates family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at the Chilliwack Church of God, 45814 Lewis Avenue, Chilliwack BC.
