Mike leaves to mourn the love of his life Angela of 18 years and the true joy of his life his son Declan. His brother Ken (Audrey) and nephew Jeremy. His brother in law Aaron, niece Harlow and mother in law Sandra. His longtime friend and former coworker Joy and his best friends David and Anuj.
Mike worked in federal corrections for over 20 years. He was a dependable, reliable and trustworthy officer and took his job seriously. His close buddies and crew members Robbie, Ryan and Vic were like brothers to him and are also left with heavy hearts. Mike was very proud of his Scottish heritage and recently did his ancestry DNA profile. He had a love of cars and has a vast knowledge when it came to them knowing what tires they needed, what the gas mileage was, or what motor it had. He loved history and had many books and movies of WWl and WWll. He loved planning the next family road trip which always include finding the best bakery with the best donuts in any given town. A homebody at heart, he just preferred to stay at home watching movies or puttering around the yard, taking great pride in his lawn and making sure it always looked nice.
A special thank you to Dr. Katherine Paton who was always his advocate and for taking such great care of him over the last 4 years. Also thank you to Dr. Thao Nguyen for your ongoing optimism and kind heart.
Mike requested to have no service.
A fiercely private man just remember his hearty laugh and good times you shared with him. When you grab your cup of coffee raise it up to him.
Love you, baby.
