Paul James Bertram

Paul James Bertram, 67, of Chilliwack, passed away suddenly on December 6th, 2016 at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. He was born in Toronto on August 17, 1949 to father Herbert (1992) and will be sadly missed by mother Barbara Bertram, who survives.

He is also survived by his wife of 29 years Bianca, his daughters Julie Williams, Brittany Bertram and his son Chris (Kara) Bertram; his four granddaughters Olivia & Stephanie Williams and Kelsey & Maggie Bertram; two sisters Diana (Carl, 2016) Bond (children Barry, Joel, Rachel), Nancy (Paul) Rushforth (daughter Alexa), and brother Mark Bertram; and mother-in-law Conny VandenElzen (Tony, 1996).

Prior to relocating to Chilliwack in 2012, Paul spent many years as a resident of Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Cleveland and Atlanta where he worked first in the office furniture business and later in the mattress industry.

Paul had a great fondness for sports, music, spending afternoons on the golf course, and evenings at home with family over good food and a nice bottle of red wine.

The family is planning a celebration of life, to be held in the spring of 2017. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or the Paul J. Bertram scholarship fund to be created in his memory.
