Randolf Glen Clarence Kelbert (a.k.a.“ Randy“) of Chilliwack, BC, passed away peacefully on the evening of May 8, 2026, at the age of 78. He was born on October 7, 1947, in Lydiatt, Manitoba, and grew up in Manitoba with his older sister Diane and his younger brother Gary.
As an adult, Randy worked as a house builder/contractor, dump truck owner/operator, electrician, and driver examiner for ICBC. He was actively involved (in his younger years) in coaching his sons sports teams, as well as at church, and (after moving to Chilliwack) in Pickleball and curling.
Randy is preceded by his parents, Clarence and Ruth Kelbert, and his beloved granddaughter Brynlee Elianna Strand. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Kelbert; sons Shaun and Chet Kelbert; daughters Monica (Paul) Chalmers and Becky (Derek) Strand; and his beloved grandchildren Kailee, Liam, Taylor, and Ryleigh.
The family would like to thank Cascade Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Randy and his family and friends in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at First Avenue Church on Saturday, May 23, at 1 PM; visitation with the family will begin at approximately 2:30 PM.
Tea and desserts will be served after the service.
