Reinhold Clarence Leis

Reinhold (Ron) passed away on Friday, June 5 at Chilliwack Hospital with family at his side. The Lord took him to his heavenly home after he suffered a massive stroke.

Ron was born in Rhein, Saskatchewan on April 29, 1935. In his teenage years, his family moved to B.C. where he lived in Chilliwack and Vancouver. Here, he continued his education and became an ordained minister. In 1961 Ron married Irene Ginter. Together, they served as pastor couple in various churches in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia. Their family moved to Mackenzie, BC where Ron worked with British Columbia Forest Products, followed by early retirement. After retiring, they enjoyed living in Salmon Arm for 30 years.

Ron loved to read his Bible and will be remembered as a faithful prayer warrior and servant of his Lord.

Ron & Irene moved to Chilliwack, BC in November 2019 to be closer to family. Ron is predeceased by his parents George and Christina Leis, his brother Manuel, and sisters Frieda Engel, Lydia Schulz, Maria Ginter, and Esther Friesen. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his wife Irene of 58 years, three children: Glenn (Katherine), Bradley (Ruth) and Janice; eight grandchildren Micaela, Nicholas, Noah, Jordan, Rebekah, Nathan, Amanda, and Taren.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12th.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the service will be by invitation only to immediate family.
