Robert Charles Webster
October 22, 1955 – May 18, 2020
Robert Charles Webster passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2020 in Chilliwack, at the age of 64.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Beverly Webster, his sister, Barbara Webster, his two sons, Simon and Nicolas Webster, as well as his wife of many years, Marie-Klaude Langlois.
Rob, as he was known by friends and family, was a lover of life, friends, good food and drink, laughs, and conspiracy theories. And of course, those who knew him, knew that he was never long separated from his..."tackle box". He was an avid outdoorsman, who at various points in his life fished, rode mountain bikes (even in his sixties), hiked, camped, kayaked, skied, and drove his off-road 4x4 up and down trails all over the province. He was never an idle man, and leaves behind memories rich in stories and love.

I met Rob in the early 80's with Marie-Klaude. After I left Vancouver to Europe, every time I came back, I was always welcome in their home for good food, a drink and good laughs. I was sad to hear about Rob's passing. My deepest sympathies for everyone. My thoughts are with you. Lise

We met in 1981 in Vancouver when we were introduced by a mutual friend and I just arrived from Quebec. What a ride it has been! Rob was curious and everything interested him. He loved meeting new people and was a great listener. We married in 1986, on a boat with friends and family, cruising along Expo 86 with the last flight of the Concord flying over us. Life in the WestEnd was great but Rob wanted his children to grow up surrounded by nature so we headed for Chilliwack in the late 80s and our 2 beautiful sons grew up enjoying rivers, lakes, camping and everything else the outdoors could offer. Although we separated we always kept a mutual love and respect for each other and enjoyed many family dinner and other moments together right to the end. Rob was diagnosed early 2017 with terminal cancer and fought hard to the end. He passed away peacefully, curious about what was on the other side and looking forward to see that white light. Rest in peace Rob, love always.

I met Robert around 1992 as I needed a hairdresser. At that time he looked like Richard Gere. He remained my hairdresser until May 11, 2017 when he had to stop working. We shared a love of the outdoors. He called me “Rosa” and I will miss his cheerful voice saying “Hi Rosa” whenever I arrived for my hair appointment. Over the past three years we would connect over the phone or have a cup of tea on his patio. He was a good friend and will be very deeply missed. I want Nick and Simon to know I am sending you my deepest condolences and hugs.
