Thomas Reid Nicholson

Tom passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 7th, 2023, at the age of 80 years old.

Tom was the first of two children born to Marion and Laurence Nicholson on July 21st, 1942, in Rossland B.C.

Tom spent his formative years between Rossland and Kimberley forming many lifelong friendships. He also spent many happy summers at the family cabin on Christina Lake, his “home away from home.”

He graduated from UBC in 1969 which led to a fulfilling career in Human Resources. He sat on the board of Oak Avenue Daycare over the years as President and was an active member of the Adoptive Families Association of B.C.

Tom was a hardworking kind man, a respected colleague, dedicated father, grandfather, brother, uncle and trusted friend.

Unforgotten and sadly missed by his daughter Cheryl (Shane) grandsons Adrian (Krystal) & Dakota (Isis), sister Mary Anne (Keith), nephew Tim (Katie), niece Deborah and great niece and nephew Fiona and Emmett. Not to forget the many friends he made along the way.

The family would like to thank Team 2 at the Agassiz Seniors Community for the wonderful care given to Tom. We appreciate you all.

As per Toms wishes, there will not be a formal Celebration of Life. A small family gathering will take place at a future date.
