Timothy James Ehlert was a quiet, gentle, and thoughtful soul who cared deeply about those around him. He passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the age of 30. Born on December 4, 1995, Timothy was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we are deeply grateful to God for the gift of his life and the years we were blessed to share with him.
Tim, as he was lovingly known, will be deeply missed by his parents, Heinz and Linda (née Wabischewich) Ehlert; his brother Jonathan and sister-in-law Melissa (née Ross) Ehlert; and his three beloved nieces and nephew, Julia, Caleb, and Christina, who brought him much joy.
He is also lovingly remembered by his uncles Siegfried Ehlert, Richard (Rick) Wabischewich, and Walter (Walt) Wabischewich and his wife Anita Spring. Timothy was predeceased by aunts and uncles and his grandparents: Gustav and Hulda Ehlert, and William and Lydia Wabischewich.
Born in Abbotsford, Timothy spent his early school years at Abbotsford Christian School before moving with his family to Chilliwack in 2003. There, he attended Promontory Heights Elementary and later G.W. Graham Secondary School, graduating in 2014. During his school years, Timothy’s creativity and dedication were evident-one of his proud achievements was a quilt he made for a high school project, which earned top marks and a first-place ribbon at the Chilliwack Agri-Fair.
After high school, Timothy attended the University of the Fraser Valley, where he excelled in subjects like chemistry and physics. He later explored the electrical trade and went on to build a strong work ethic through his roles at Vantage Foods/Five Corners Foods and MDT. Timothy was valued for his reliability, organization, patience, and kind, easygoing nature. He was a respected and appreciated member of his workplace, and he will be greatly missed by his colleagues.
In his younger years, Timothy enjoyed building LEGO and developed a deep interest in Japanese music, anime, and culture. He had the opportunity to travel to Japan several times, creating meaningful memories, including a special trip late last year to celebrate his 30th birthday.
Timothy faced personal struggles throughout his life, and while those challenges were not always visible, they were part of his journey. He is remembered with compassion, love, and grace. His life mattered deeply, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be truly missed.
Romans 8:35-39 KJV
35.Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36.As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37.Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38.For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come.
39.Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
