Bill was predeceased by his loving wife, Jannetje, in 2020, after 69 years of marriage.
He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Ed (Beverly) and Ernie; his daughter, Nancy Maclean (Bruce); his two grandchildren, Brittany and Jacqueline; and his seven great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
Bill immigrated to Canada in 1954 after surviving the hardships of World War II. Though the early years were challenging, he built a meaningful life for his family and found success and fulfillment in his new home.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Chilliwack, B.C. The family wishes to thank Henderson’s staff for their care and support.
The family extends special gratitude to Jane Klody and the staff at Agassiz Retirement Centre for their kindness and dedication in caring for Bill and others.
