Obituary of William Lawrence Chernoff
IN THE CARE OF

Henderson's Funeral Homes & Crematorium

William Lawrence Chernoff 1963 – 2021

It is with a heavy heart I announce the passing of my wonderful husband Bill.

Bill was a good man. He was the smartest and most patient person I have

ever known. He was my love of my life. He was ‘super dad’ to his sons Justin

and Wade. There was nothing he would not do for his boys. Bill grew up in

Chilliwack and attended Sardis Secondary. A highlight of his grad year was

hauling a Volkswagen Beetle onto the school roof. It was a grad prank loved

by all. He attended the University of Victoria and earned a Bachelor of Science

in Physics. Bill loved adventure and next he headed to Nepal and hiked the Himalayan Mountains. He loved that trip and spoke of it often. Together Bill and I enjoyed many trips to Mexico, a country we both loved. Bill was a family man. He loved his nieces and nephews and showed genuine interest in their lives and loved to spend time with them. Bill owned his own business, Shooting Star Technology, and he designed, manufactured, and marketed digital readouts. He had a passion for helicopters and often we had to stop on the side of the road so Bill could identify the type of helicopter hovering above. His dream was to build his own helicopter one day. Bill was predeceased by his father Larry who he greatly missed and spoke of often. He is survived by his wife Tammie, sons Justin (Kimberly) and Wade (Jessica), his mother Dale, his stepmother Sue, his Auntie Derry (Uncle Harold), his sister Jackie (Clive), his brother Larry (Kathy) and many cousins and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his best friends Chris and Cheryl and his many snowmobiling buddies. There will be no service due to the pandemic. There will be a celebration of life once the pandemic is over. I will always be your ‘wifer for lifer’ - I love you Bill.
