

She was born April 26th 1937 in Viking, Alberta. Her family lived on a farm in Viking until they relocated to Kimberley, British Columbia. Where Joan met her future husband James (Ian) Thomas Scott.
They married June 28th 1958 in Kimberley, BC then later moved to Burnaby BC where they raised their three daughters, Diane, Heather and Cindy.
Joan enjoyed baking with her grandchildren, playing cards and singing with them. She was an avid fan of the Chilliwack Chiefs Hockey Team a Season Ticket Holder and attended as many games as she could with her daughter and grandchildren. Joan was a loyal Canucks fan even though she never got to see them win the Stanley Cup.
Family, Friends and Care Home Staff remembers Joan for her singing, especially Que Sera, Sera (What ever will be will be).
Joan was predeceased by her parents, Dwight and Margaret Draper, her husband James Ian Thomas Scott, her five siblings Doreen, Mavis, Donald, Gordon and Diane as well her niece Mavis and her nephew Dwight.
Joan is survived by her three daughters Diane (Dean), Heather, & Cindy. 7 grandchildren, Bryan, Danielle, Joey, Christine, Justin, Katie, & Jessica. 14 great grandchildren, Evan, Christian, Trinity, Anika, Riley, Brooklynn, Marx, Leeaura, Matthew, Quin, Analicia, Ian, Segwses & Noah. 2 great-great granddaughters Athena & Mercedes. As well as many Nieces and Nephews that she truly loved and who loved her.
