Alan Louis Pozyck

Alan was born August 27, 1950, in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the late Louis Bruno and Annie Edith Sherrill Pozyck. One brother, Michael Pozyck also preceded him in death.

A graduate of North Rowan High School, Alan continued his education with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from East Carolina University and a M.S in Library Science from UNCG.

Alan was the media specialist and a football coach at West Rowan Middle School for 18 years, then the children’s librarian for Stanly County Public Library for 15 years.

Alan was a devoted husband to his wife Sonia and a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his wife, Alan is survived by son Cameron, daughter-in-law Kendra, and grandchildren Riley and Amara of Rockwell, son Piercen, daughter-in-law Racheal, and grandchildren Gabriel, Immaleigh, and Mykenzy of China Grove and brother Steve Pozyck, his wife Bonnie and nieces Jessica and Savannah and their families.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 29, 2026, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home with burial at West Lawn Memorial Park.
