

Born in Iredell County on October 18, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Richard Sutton and Virginia Hunt Sutton.
Belinda graduated South Rowan High School – Class of 1971 as Salutatorian. She went on to continue her education at Western Carolina University.
On December 22, 1972, she married William Boyd Hinson, and together they shared 49 years of marriage until his passing in 2021.
Belinda retired from F & M Bank as Branch Manager in China Grove after 38 years of service. She loved gardening, reading and animals.
A longtime member of Lutheran Chapel, Belinda served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, WELCA member and WELCA treasurer, youth leader and the church treasurer.
Affectionately known as “Binky” to those who will forever cherish her memory, are her sister, Cynthia Sutton Chandler (Bob) of Salisbury; nieces and nephew, Misty Connor (Derrick) of Salisbury, B.J. Chandler (Becky Chester) of Charlotte, Beth Chandler (Steven Johnson) of Mocksville, , and Amy Sanders (Brian) of South Carolina.
She is further survived by her great-nieces, Olivia Chandler, and Abigail Johnson; great-nephews, Brandon Sifford and Adam Sanders; god-children, Lauren and Evan Beaver; her life-long best friend, Sherry Beaver and her canine companion, Bruiser.
The family will receive friends, Friday, January 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Lutheran Chapel.
The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor John Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Memorial donations are requested to be made to Trellis Supportive Care (attention: Finance) 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to Rowan County Animal Shelter.
