

Billie Misenheimer Leach, 67, formerly of Rockwell, passed away Tuesday evening, November 29, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Born October 7, 1944, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of Mildred Drye Misenheimer of Rockwell and the late Lonnie Misenheimer. Educated in the Rowan County Schools, Mrs. Leach was owner/operator of Dutchman Creek Bait and Tackle Shop and was a member of Sunrise Baptist Shop in Southport. She loved and was loved by her family, friends and community, and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Brenda Leach and Ricky Moore.
Family members include her husband of 42 years, John David Leach, sons, Johnny Ray Leach and wife, Lucinda of Salisbury, Ronnie Leach, Albemarle and Jimmy Kincaid of Rockwell, daughters, Angie Leach of Boiling Springs and Teresa Leach of Tabor City, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 at Linn-Honeycutt in China Grove. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at West Park Baptist Church, 715 W. Park Drive, Rockwell, conducted by Rev. Charles Carver, Pastor. Mrs. Leach will lie in state at the church from 1:30-2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell.
