Billy Joel Rogers

On September 02, 2026, the world lost a genuinely good soul, as Billy Joel Rogers passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who loved him. Born on December 10, 1981, in Concord, North Carolina, Billy was a treasured son, grandson, nephew, uncle, and friend, whose warmth and laughter touched the hearts of many.

Billy was the beloved son of Dawn Spry and cherished grandson of Karen Duncan. He was preceded in death by his Loving grandparents, Bill and Dot Rogers, and his grandfather, Danny Duncan, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. Those who survive him include his devoted mother, Dawn Spry; stepfather, Jack Spry; grandmother, Karen Duncan; uncle, Tommy Rogers (Carole; aunt, Dana Harris (Brian), Leslie Duncan (Tasha Frogge); nieces Kayla Harris, Brianna Harris, and Taylor Ramsey. Also left behind to cherish his memory are Mackenzie Jackson, Jacob Martin, and Grayson Martin who had the honor to call him their" Uncle BJ". Billy leaves behind many friends and extended family members, all of whom he loved deeply as well.

A proud alumnus of A. L. Brown High School's class of 2000, Billy pursued his passion for learning by attending Rowan Cabarrus Community College, where he dabbled in various subjects, including oil painting.

Billy was an avid video game player, a devoted fan of professional wrestling, and had an enduring love for The Simpsons, The Power Rangers, and horror movies. He also enjoyed playing card and board games and watching movies. His knowledge of wrestling, sports, and video game history was encyclopedic, earning him a well-deserved reputation as a trivia whiz. Yet, above all, it was his sincere, loyal, and humorous nature that endeared him to everyone he met. His family and friends were the center of his universe, and he loved them with his whole heart.

Billy was a devoted father to several fur babies over the years, particularly his cherished dog, Skylar.

The family is deeply grateful for the love and prayers extended to Billy throughout his life.

As we remember Billy, let us celebrate the eternal mark he left on our hearts. His legacy of love, laughter and loyalty will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
