Mr. Bobby Keith Moore, 84 of Rockwell passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Born on March 15, 1934 in Macon County NC, he was the son of the late William Henry and Elizabeth Whitmire Moore. Educated in the Macon County schools, a graduate of Franklin High School, he was a veteran of the US Army and the US Army Reserves. Mr. Moore worked for over 39 years for Champion International Papers in Canton, NC, as a welder/metal worker/pipefitter in the maintenance and repair departments. He was a member of the International Steel Workers Union - Smokey Mountain Local 507 and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a grandson of a Confederate veteran and was awarded the Sons of Confederate Veterans Medal. Bobby enjoyed working on projects, cars and was a jack of all trades, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do or figure out. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Unav Sanders Moore, sons; Phillip Moore (Kelley), Johnny Moore (Betty), daughters; Teresa Moore and Patricia (Patty) Moore, as well as brother John L Moore of Franklin. Also surviving him are his grandchildren Susan Partridge (Josh), Amanda Curtis (Brian), Matthew Moore (Kim) and Zachary Moore (Jeannie) and his 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 am till 12:00 pm at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral to follow at 12:00 also at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Salisbury National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to International Multiple Myeloma Foundation , American Lung Cancer Association as well as American Heart Association, Memorials may be made to the family at www.linnhoneycuttfuneralhome.com
