

Born in Wilkes County on October 8, 1945, he was the son of the late Chester Sidden and Mary Stamper Sidden.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was also preceded in death by his brothers Bil, Jerry, Tom, Dan and Kenneth, and sisters, Bertha, Cathy, Lois and Carol.
Bobby married his sweetheart, Nancy Brown Sidden, and shared 62 years together at the time of his passing.
He worked many years at Fieldcrest Cannon Mills as a Supervisor.
Over the years he made many friends and will always be remembered as a loving and faithful son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
Bobby was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, member of the choir, taught Sunday school and helped with the missionary ministry.
He loved sports, especially softball, having played on several teams over the years and playing golf with the senior group in Salisbury.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy; two sons, Barry Alan Sidden (Melissa) and Richard Wayne Sidden (Lori); three grandchildren, Joseph Sidden, Crystal Renee Sidden and Seth Carson Sidden.
He is further survived by two great-grandchildren, Peyton Nunn and Makenzie Nunn; and two brothers, Steven Sidden and Chris Sidden.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Franklin Heights Baptist Church 526 Wright Ave, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
