Carol Skinner Cira

Carol Skinner Cira, 84, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at her residence in Salisbury, North Carolina. Born in Flemington, New Jersey on June 12, 1938 to the late William N. Skinner and Verna Locke Skinner. Carol worked for 40 years as a LPN at the New York V.A. Hospital. Her husband, Anthony S. Cira, Sr. on July 4, 2022, also preceded her in death. They shared 48 years of marriage. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Anthony S. Cira, Jr. (Cheri) of Salisbury, North Carolina, Raymond Murray and his companion Elaine of Fulton, New York and Rose Ogden of Oswego, New York. Three brothers, William (Roni) Skinner of Florida, Patrick (Connie) Skinner of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and James (Renata) Skinner of New Jersey and two sisters, Maureen Smith and Kate Bartku of Florida; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild further survive her. A graveside service will be held for Carol and Anthony, Sr. on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Salisbury National Cemetery.
