Charles Winford Gullette

Mr. Charles W. Gullette, 67 of China Grove passed away on Friday September 23, 2011 at the VA Medical Center. Born on October 8, 1943 in Dayton Ohio, he was the son of the late Francis Eugene and Dorothy Harvey Gullette. Educated in the Union, West Virginia schools, he was a carpenter with Efirds Construction. Mr. Gullette enjoyed collecting antique stamps, coins and glassware. He served his country in the US Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Gullette.

Those left to cherish his memories are sons, Douglas Gullette (Tammy) of Concord, Gregory Gullette of China Grove, Nicholas Gullette of Concord, and daughter Bridgette Gullette (Mike) of Rockwell. He is also survived by brothers, Eugene "Gene" Gullette and Dave Gullette, both of Illinois and Brenda Ratliff of Ohio and Linda Ratliff of Richmond, Va. Grandchildren, Stevie Wingler, Michael Wensil, Alice (Kristine) Gullette, Heather Gullette and Nichole Gustifson..

Visitation will be on Monday from 7:00-9:00 at a Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with graveside service at 2:00 on Tuesday at the National Cemetery.
