Clara Jean Childers, age 92, of China Grove, North Carolina passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Tucker Hospice House. Born on September 20, 1930 In Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Weldon Wall and Marie Chapman Wall. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching QVC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clay Childers. Those left to cherish her memory are her son Steve Childress and daughter Kimberly C. Haney. Also surviving are her sisters, Betty Reid and Louise Shive.
A visitation for Clara will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home, 1420 N. Main St., China Grove, NC. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at West Lawn Memorial Park, 1350 S. Main St., China Grove, NC.
