Denise Brantley Brown

Mrs. Denise Brantley Brown, age 61 of China Grove, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir after an extended illness. Born August 21, 1959 in Iredell County, Denise was the daughter of the late David Ernest Brantley and Edith Morgan Brantley. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church – China Grove and prior to her illness, was very involved with the women’s groups and other areas of service.

Denise spent her career as a medical office assistant. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitching and loved scrapbooking. But most of all, she loved her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 29 ½ years, Steve of the home; her son, Seth Brantley Brown of Columbia, SC and daughters, Carrie McGuffey (Alex) of Lebanon, KY and Kelsey Morgan Brown of the home. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Nathan Brown, Isabelle and Colton McGuffey. Also surviving are her brother, David Brantley Mason of Southport, NC and sister, Debbie Paulson (Don) of California.

Visitation for Denise will be on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at First Baptist Church-China Grove officiated by Pastor Trent Drye. Burial at West Lawn Memorial Park immediately following her funeral service.
