Born in Rowan County on April 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Worth Levi Christopher and Bertie Payne Christopher.
In addition to her parents, her husband of 75 years, Alby Lewis Eller; daughter, Toni Hoffman and two son-in-laws, Rick Hoffman and Jim Kesler and two sisters, Marlene and Terry also preceded Dorothy in death.
Dorothy was a member of First United Methodist Church of China Grove, where she was a member of the Young at Heart group; served as a Sunday school teacher and Den Leader of the Scouts. She was also a member of the Salisbury Moose Lodge.
Her favorite things in life included traveling, sitting on the front porch, but most of all, her love for her family. She will always be remembered as being a “super mom”.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Christopher “Chris” Eller (Joyce), Amy Kesler, Ruth Mash and Melissa Haas (Charles); her brother Harold and sister, Jo.
She also leaves behind three generations of grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
Services will be held privately at a later date.
Words of comfort and memories may be shared at www.linn-honeycutt.com.
Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Eller family.
