

Drenia Waller Smith 59 of Salisbury passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston Salem after a period of declining health. Born on May 17, 1952 in Nofolk Va., she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Ruby Heglar Waller. A graduate of South Rowan High School, she continued her education at Rowan Cabbarus Community College. She was of the Christian faith. Her career was with Flowcan Americus. Earlier in life she worked at Fieldcrest Cannon and Freightliner. She enjoyed gardening and being outside and particularly enjoyed her cats; Tabby, Sweet Pea and Tom, whom she loved very much.
Those left to cherish her memories are her uncles, Lee, George, Bill and Bob Waller, aunts Edith Jackson, JoAnn Cauble, Gaynelle Redwine, Colleen McQueen and Doris Fesperman. She was also survived by many cousins and a close, dear friend Robin Teal.
Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00 til 2:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with service at 2:00 also at the funeral home with Rev. Priscilla Causey, minister.
