

Mrs. Edna Mae Royal Stamper age 87 of China Grove passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Stamper was born on August 6, 1934 in Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Coy Lee and Myrtie Wyatt Royal. She retired from Cannon Mills Company after many years of service. In her spare time, she loved to grow flowers and eat out. She loved her family very much as they were very special to her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Fred Stamper on November 15, 2019. In addition, she was preceded by her daughter Judy Stamper Gooch. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Rick Stamper (Sandra) of Landis, Ronnie Stamper (Janet) of Georgia, Randy Stamper (Vickie) of Salisbury and Donald Williams (Linda) of Rockwell and son in law David Gooch of Stem, N.C. Her daughters include Nora Stamper Patterson (Randall) and Pat Stamper Gaskins (Jonathan) of Mooresville. Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren; Wendy Stamper, Chris Stamper, Leila Honeycutt, Beth Harrington (Rodney), Deric Harrington, Paul Stamper (Lindsie), Brittany Houston (Chris), Taylor Patterson (Mackenzie), Logan Stamper, Madisyn Patterson-Moody (Andrew) along with 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family of Mrs. Stamper would like to thank her care giver, Crystal Pope for the care she gave her during her declining health of over 2 years as well as her husband during his illness.
Visitation will be on Friday February 25, 2022 from 10:00 til 11:30 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with graveside service at 12 noon at West Lawn Memorial Park with Jason Gaskins, officiating. Rick Stamper will be giving the eulogy for his mother.
