

Mr. Edward “Eddie” Lee McRorie, 60 of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Born on April 25, 1956 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Bobby and Sylvia Woodard McRorie. A attended A.L Brown High School and had worked earlier for Comfort Contractors and later became a self- employed brick mason. He enjoyed gold panning and dredging the creeks, fishing and metal detecting. He was a gentle soul who never met a stranger. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife Carol Oliphant McRorie, son Cory McRorie and daughter Kellie McRorie, both of Kannapolis, step daughters Desiree Estrada (Eduardo) of China Grove and Deidre Miller and fiance’ Michael of Mocksville. He is also survived by his brother Bobby "Buddy" Woodard of Kannapolis and sister Donna Finney of China Grove. His grandchildren brought joy to his life. He loved them deeply and never minded playing with them. They are Kenlynn Basinger, Damian and Raelie Hernandez, Sophia Eastrada, Caden Callicutt, Kirkylan and Ryder Hamilton.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with Rev. James Pauley, minister. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Glenn A.
