Eileen Tobin Solomon, 85, passed away on August 3, 2026. Born July 21, 1941, Eileen will be remembered with deep respect and enduring gratitude for a life marked by steady devotion, honest warmth, and a love that quietly strengthened everyone around her.
Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Robert Solomon, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Tobin, her mother, Eleanor Tobin, her brother, Richard J. Tobin, and her sister, Maureen Hughes.
Eileen’s life reflected compassion in action and a hard-working spirit that never sought attention, only the good it could do. A devoted educator, she earned a BA in Education from Boston College and a Master’s of Arts in TESOL from Fairfield University. She taught for over 30 years—first grade in Stoughton, MA, and Stamford, CT, and later ESL in Danbury, CT—bringing patience, courage, and a lively presence to the work of helping others learn and grow.
She remained engaged in her community, active with Rufty Holmes and AARP, and she carried her supportive nature into every circle she joined. Eileen also found joy in traveling, reading, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends—offering a loving steadiness that made gatherings feel like home.
Eileen is survived by her son, Peter Solomon and wife, Kristen of Danville, CA; her daughters, Rosemary Leach and husband, Jeff of Salisbury, NC, and Nancy Brown and husband, David of Lantana, TX; and her grandchildren, Brienne and Zachary Leach, Sydney and Kylie Brown, and Cole and Emma Solomon.
