Mr. Franklin Robert Hagler, Sr. age 74 of China Grove, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem after his courageous battle with lung cancer. He is finally where, in his words, he is not only rejoicing with the angels but with the love of his life, whom he lost in 2019. Born April 30, 1947 in Mecklenburg County, Franklin was the son of the late Nannie Fullum.
Franklin spent his career working production in cotton textiles. He lived the farm life and was happiest being outdoors taking care of his various farm animals. He loved just "piddling" around his land and just being outdoors. Prior to losing his wife and best friend, he would always plant her a beautiful area of colorful flowers. Franklin was quick witted and had a great sense of humor. If you didn't want him to tell you what he thought, then don't ask. He love to pick on people and get a good laugh.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Peggy H. Cooper along with her sons and two great-granddaughters.
Burial for Franklin will be on Friday, June 10, 2021 at 11:00am at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.linn-honeycutt.com. Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Hagler.
