

Born in Rowan County on February 19, 1963, he was the son of the late Bernie Garrett Carpenter and Francis Virginia Reed Carpenter.
In addition to his parents, Scott was also preceded in death by his sister, Susie Carpenter.
Scott worked for two local utilities and then retired from selling utility buildings about 15 years ago. Scott was a body builder and enjoyed his time in the gym and his music.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother Teddy Joe Carpenter (Louise Carpenter); son, Timothy James “T.J.” Garmon; daughter, Ericka Page Wimer and four grandchildren.
He died peacefully in the house he grew up in.
To honor his wishes, a party instead of a traditional funeral will be held Saturday February 28th from 6 PM to 10 PM at the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. . The family will have a few comments around 6:30. Come join the family and friends for food (BBQ) soft drinks and some of Scott's favorite music.
