

Born in Rowan County on September 28, 1927, he was the son of the late Charlie B. Jacobs and Ethel Bringle Jacobs.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and his loving wife, Frances Virginia Readling Jacobs in 2000.
Mr. Jacobs served in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired as a supervisor from Cone Mills and was a member of First United Methodist Church in China Grove.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Steven Gray Jacobs (Wanda) of Woodleaf; daughter, Angela Jacobs Miller of China Grove and one brother, Charlie B. Jacobs, Jr. (Sybil) of Landis.
He is further survived his grandchildren, Kristy M. Caldwell, Brittany Beaver (Devin), and Kristina Smith and his great-grandchildren, Mason Gray Beaver, Ryan Keith Beaver, Walker Layburn and Austin Caldwell.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Monday, February 21, 2022 beginning at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard or to the First United Methodist Church of China Grove, NC.
