

Born in Rowan County on February 17, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Columbus Correll and Eva Jones Hopkins Correll.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine was also preceded in death by two brothers, Millard Andrea Correll and Roy Glenn Correll.
In 1957, Geraldine married the love of her life, William Richard Hodge, and would have celebrated 68 years of marriage on February 2nd.
Over the years, she worked in the office of W.A. Brown, and was Secretory/Office Manager for her husband’s service station business. But most of all, she enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her family and others.
She was a member of Landis Baptist Church, where she had sang in the choir and special groups, worked in the nursery, taught Sunday school, was a member of the Women’s Circle and was a member of Woodman of the World.
Some of Geraldine’s hobbies included cake decorating, being active in taking cruises with her husband to Alaska and Switzerland.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, William Richard Hodge; daughter, Kelly Ann Flack (Terry); brother, Arnold Columbus Correll, Jr. (Pam) and sister, Brenda Correll Cress (Richard) and her sisters-in-law, Janelle Correll and Rhonda Correll.
She is further survived by her grandchildren, Kayla Morgan (Paul), Seth Flack, and Jacob Flack and one great-grandchild, Kylie Flack.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 20, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Landis Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery.
