Harold Frank Jones Jr.

Born in Greenville, SC on May 16, 1942, he was the son of the late Harold Frank Jones, Sr., and Etta Cannon Jones.

In addition to his parents, Frank was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Toni Beverly Smith Jones on May 30, 2023, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage together. He was also preceded in death by one son, Frank Todd Jones and one sister, Loretta Hipp.

Frank graduated from Boyden High School and retired from Georgia Pacific Corporation. After retirement he served as a bus driver with Rowan-Salisbury Schools and worked as a funeral assistant at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home for several years.

He never met a stranger and always was willing to help others. You could find him, daily, at Jimmie’s Restaurant and Gary’s BBQ spending time making others smile and laugh.

Frank was a member of Main Street Baptist Church, where he served as a Greeter. He was an active member of the China Grove Rotary Club, where he had served as a past president.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Ryan Jones, Mark Jones (Angela) and Jeffrey Jones (Adrian); daughter-in-law, Jennifer Dellinger; and sister, Martha Wafford.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Lane Jones, Nash Jones, Chase Smith, Delaney Jones, Aidan Jones, Chris Jones (Amber), Angela Jones and Ashley McClellan (Ethan); and four great-grandchildren, Mia Rose Jones, Declan Jones, Holland Jones and Ruby Searles.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Main Street Baptist Church 1615 N. Main Street China Grove, NC.

The Celebration of Life service will begin at 4:00 PM with Pastor Billy Beaver officiating.
