Hillery Gene Johnson III

Mr. Hillery Gene Johnson III of Salisbury went to his resting place on Thursday January 30, 2014 at Novant Presbyterian Health in Charlotte. Born on August 18, 1971 in Rowan County, he was the son of Gene Johnson Jr. and Diane Kincaid Johnson. A 1989 graduate of South Rowan High School, he was a member of 2nd Ave Church of God. Gene was employed by AKZO Nobel as a lead chemical operator. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and South Carolina Gamecocks fan. He always put others needs ahead of his. Gene was preceded in death by his grandfather Hillery Johnson Sr. and grandparents Doug and Frances Kincaid. In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memrory is his son Chase Johnson and mother LuAnn Carroll and Chase's girlfiend Karah Abbott and Chase's sister Victoria Jones. Also surviving him is his brother Aaron Johnson (Lisa) and paternal grandmother Alma Johnson. Also surviving him is his god son and nephew Maddox Avery Johnson, nephews Colten and Caiden and niece Layla and special cousin Donna Brooks. Also surviving him are his aunts, Brenda Pruitt, Carla Clawson and Karen Tucker and uncle Tim Johnson (Jenny) and cousin Jacob and many more cousins and special friends.

Visitation will be on Monday from 6-8 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral on Tuesday at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.linnhoneycuttfuneral.com
