Jack Henry Phillips

Born on October 23, 1950 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Joseph C. Phillips and Nina Strickland Phillips. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his brother Joe Phillips and sister Janet Crisco.

Mr. Phillips graduated from East Rowan High School. From an early age, he had interests in High School sports. As an adult, he served as a high school referee for over 40 years and was an avid golfer. Earlier in life he worked for Rouser Auto Parts, later went on to work for Reynolds Ball Can Company for over 22 years and in the most recent years, for Rowan County ABC.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda Phillips, to whom he was with for over 36 years, and his daughters Kelly Ginn (Robert) and Robin Shaver.

Also surviving him are his sisters Flora Rook, Ruth Small, Sherrill Kesler (Larry), Betty Young and Nina Parker (Chuck).

Also surviving is his grandchild Patrick Jester (Taylor) as well as 2 great grandsons Tucker and Dawson Jester as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 1:00 till 3:00 pm at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with graveside service to be held a Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell at 3:30.
