Born in Cabarrus County on October 20, 1972, , he was the son of James William Thompson, Sr. and the late Crystal Ann Dulin Broome.
James was a machine operator with Eastern Wholesale Fencing Company in Salisbury, and attended New Grove Baptist Church in Lexington, NC.
Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his mother, James was also preceded in death by one son, Kevin Blake Thompson and one brother, Eddie Thompson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angela Peacock Thompson; daughter, Caitlyn Thompson; step-daughter, Raigan Kiser; step-son, Jason Kiser (Paige); step-grandson, Silas Myers; grandchildren, Odin Thompson and Luna Rose Thompson, and his father, James William Thompson, Sr.
