James Clyde Williford, age 82 of Spencer, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Born on June 11, 1941 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late John Williford and Virginia Walters Williford. Educated in the Rowan County Schools, he was a Seventh Day Adventis.
He worked for many years for Duke Energy, as a sandblaster and painter. In his spare time, he enjoyed going fishing, working on cars and cutting wood.
Those with cherished memories are his wife of 52 years, Ruby Swink Williford as well as his sons James L. Williford and Michael Carlton, as well as grandson Travis Carlton.
A graveside service will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove.
