Jeffrey Allen Overcsh

China Grove - Jeffrey Allen Overcash, 48, passed away Friday morning, January 4, 2013, at Rowan Regional Medical Center, following a period of declining health. A special child of God, Jeffey was born July 8, 1964 in Cabarrus County and was a son of the late Henry Edward and Willie Irene Andrews Overcash. Jeffrey had been active with the Rowan County Vocational Workshop for more than 20 years, where he had developed many friends and special relationships. In addition to his parents, two brothers, Clifford and Leonard Overcash, preceded him in death. Family members left with cherished memories include his brother, Jerry Overcash and wife, Patricia; his sisters, Judy Stubbs and Christina "Chris" Harmon and husband, Newton, all of China Grove, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 8, 2013, from 11:00 - 12:30, at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. A graveside service to remember and celebrate Jeffrey's life will be held at 1:00 pm at the Old Historic Salisbury National Cemetery, 202 Government Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144, conducted by the Rev. Chuck Overcash. Jeffrey will be laid to rest with his father, who passed away July 17, 1984.

Memorials may be made in Jeffrey's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
