Jennie Lee Upshaw Doolittle, 74 of Kannapolis passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 11, 1945 in Aiken S.C. and was the daughter of the late Buchanan Benny Upshaw and Helen Franklin Upshaw. Additionally, she was preceded by her husband of 34 years Clarence Sydney Doolittle Sr. and son Clarence Sydney "Speedy" Doolittle Jr. Jennie worked for Cannon Mills earlier in life and then as a convenience store manager. She also enjoyed gambling at Cherokee and watching NASCAR. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Helen Rhodes (Thomas) and Teresa Winters (Jesse), her brother Timmy Prince and sisters Marjorie Harvey, Ann Gymer, Minnie Lee and Linda Sue Morris. Grandchildren surviving her are Tina Winters, Brittany Giles and Keith Doolittle, as well as 7 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Doolittle will be on Monday, March 16, 2020 from 1:30 till 2:30 pm at Landis Funeral Home, followed by funeral service at 2:30 pm also at the funeral home with Pastor Mitch Carlyle, officiating.
