Jerry Wayne Finney

Mr. Jerry Wayne Finney, age 79 of China Grove, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Transitional Health in Kannapolis after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. Born September 27, 1941 in Cabarrus County, Jerry was the son of the late Walter C. Davis and Margaret Finney Davis. He was of Baptist faith.

Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. After his service, he spent his career as a master carpenter and woodworker. His work was exceptional. In his spare time, he loved working on and fixing up old cars. He also enjoyed going to car shows. Jerry was a family and loved his family dearly.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Judy Finney. He also leaves behind his daughter, Sheila Jones and husband, Danny along with his grandchildren, Stacey and Stoney James.

Visitation for Jerry will be on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 2:00 – 3:00pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Burial with Full Military Honors will immediately follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Finney.
