Jo Ann Overcash

Mrs. Jo Ann Peacock Overcash, 80 formerly of Rockwell, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Novant Rowan Health Medical Center. Born on September 2, 1936 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Howard P. and Sallie Leach Peacock. Educated in the Rowan County Schools. Mrs. Overcash was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Overcash Sr. and daughter Tisha Beaver as well as her sister Jean Wardell. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Fred Overcash Jr. (Connie) and Donald Overcash, both of Salisbury and Timothy Overcash and fiance’ Shelia Fesperman of Rockwell, and daughters Rita Kellough of Rockwell and Kim Overcash Treece (Jeff) of China Grove. Also surviving her is her brother Howard Peacock Jr. (Vickie) of Salisbury and sisters Brenda Ashburn (Ronnie) of Salisbury, and Velma Bost (Ray) of Mt. Ulla. She was also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:00 til 1:30 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral at 1:30 also the the funeral home with Rev. Joey Spry, minister. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fisher Street Baptist Church, 810 Fisher St. Concord, NC 28025.
