

Mr. John Mark Harrison, 48 of Salisbury, passed away on Monday May 16, 2016 at his residence. Born on July 27, 1967 in Rowan County, he was the son of Benjamin Isaac Harrison Sr. and Ola Mae Goodman Harrison. A 1985 graduate of South Rowan High School, he continued his study at Rowan Cabarrus College in mechanical drafting. He was a longtime member of Back Creek Presbyterian Church (PCA), where he served as a deacon, sang in the choir and was a youth leader. He particularly enjoyed hunting and working on classic cars. Earlier in life, he worked for Ryburn Farm Equipment and most recently worked at Salisbury Machinery where he worked in customer service and logistics. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Merri Jo Freeze (Laird), brother Ben Harrison Jr. (Pam) both of Salisbury and brother Eric Harrison (Kimberly) of Archdale. Also surviving him are his nieces and nephews; Tim Freeze and fiance’ Breanna Fink, Hannah Babcock(Michael), David Freeze, McKamie Harrison, Caitlin Harrison, Laura Harrison and Ben Harrison III.
Visitation is on Thursday from 1:00 til 3:00 at Back Creek Presbyterian Church with funeral at 3:00 also at the church with Rev. Bill Thrailkill, minister. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
