Kenneth Ell Boone

Kenneth Ell Boone, 69, passed away at home on June 12, 2026. He was born on June 16, 1956, in South Carolina to his late parents, Elige and Juanita Boone. A resident of China Grove, North Carolina, Kenneth will be remembered with deep respect for the steady devotion he showed to those he loved, the loyalty that anchored his relationships, and the hard work and resilience that shaped the life he built and sustained.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Elige and Juanita Boone; his sister, Rhonda Sue White; and his granddaughter, Kassidy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Vickie Boone; his children, Erica Hurlocker (Tobin), Ashley Boone, Katherine Criscoe (Lee), Stacie Ennis, and Kenneth Boone Jr.; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his sisters, Penny Moore and Jo Tarlton; his brother, Danny Boone (Marsha); and many other extended family.

Kenneth loved his family, and that devotion was evident in the way he showed up, again and again, with steadiness and care. He found joy in simple, meaningful pursuits, going to the beach, fishing, and woodworking—interests that reflected both his strong work ethic and the quiet perseverance he carried throughout life.

He was also a musician and an artist, expressing himself with sincerity and skill. And for those who knew him best, it would be impossible to mention fishing without also remembering his “partner in crime,” his best friend Jimmy. Known together as “double trouble,” Kenneth and Jimmy shared countless days and many memorable adventures—two loyal friends’ side by side, making the most of the time given to them.

A visitation will be held at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 4:00pm-6:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Linn-Honeycutt funeral home to help pay for Kenneth's final arrangements.
