Lydia Jannice Hawthorne Vaughn, age 50 of Rockwell, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at her home. Born August 23, 1970 in Cumberland County, Jannice was the daughter of Martha Pamela Holmes Osborne and the late Emil Frazier Hawthorne. Jannice was of Baptist faith.

Jannice enjoyed are and coloring photos. She had a love for animals, especially her cats and dogs. She received great peace and pleasure from reading and studying the bible. But most of all, she loved spending her time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory in addition to her mother, Martha and step-father, Michey Thomas; are her son, Jacob A. Vaughn and her daughters, Cassie Rose Murray and Megan Burroughs (Charles). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Jackson and Greyson, along with her brothers, Chad Bruce and Brad Bruce.

Visitation for Jannice will be on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel officiated by Pastor Mike Taylor of Phaniel Baptist Church. Committal Service will follow immediately at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord. The family has requested that you kindly remember Jannice with memorials in her honor to Phaniel Baptist Church, 2685 Phaniel Church Road, Rockwell, NC 28138.
