Maria Tolan

Born in Romania on August 15, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Iacob Tolan and Ioana Ciurcau Tolan.

In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by one son, Antonica Eremie; two brothers, Iacob Tolan, and Toader Tolan.

She had worked at Cannon Mills and Ryan’s.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children Ioana Lazar (Iacob), Iacob Eremie (Kimberly), Ioan (Maria) Eremie, and Lidia Flora (Dan); one brother, Alexandru Tolan and one sister, Paraschiva Lup.

Maria is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the Northcrest Chapel of Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Pastor Ilie Dinu Ou from Zion Romanian Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
