Mary Jeanette Goodnight

Jeanette was born on April 12, 1933, to the late Cletus Marvin Belk and Mary Ella Bost Belk.

Jeanette worked for Cannon Mills and later retired from Rowan County School System.

Jeanette had a love for her church and church family, and she demonstrated that love through her love for music and used those gifts to play for Sunday school opening for over 25 years. Jeanette was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church of Landis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Bobby Goodnight, sister Betty Belk.

Surviving members are Donna Kluttz, son Alan Bradshaw (Faye), son Brian Goodnight (Clara); grandchildren, Jason Kluttz, Elizabeth Woodlief, Justin Kluttz, Joshua Goodnight, Nicholas Goodnight, and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church with funeral services to follow 1:00 PM also at the church with Pastor Tim Kneuss, officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
