Minerva Huneycutt, known to many as Mary, passed on October 26, 2026, at the age of 69. Born September 19, 1957, Mary was the beloved daughter of her late parents, Raul Saldivar Sr. and Hortencia Cisneros Saldivar, and she carried their legacy forward with steadfast devotion, quiet strength, and a thoughtful care for others that never sought recognition.
Mary was married to the love of her life, Paul Robert Huneycutt, for 49 years. In that enduring partnership—marked by loyalty, generosity, and a deep tenderness, Mary built a home anchored in faith and sustained by selfless love. Together they welcomed and raised two children, Paul Damian Huneycutt and Marissa Athena Huneycutt, and Mary remained a constant presence of compassion and support in their lives.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Raul Saldivar Sr. and Hortencia Cisneros Saldivar, and by her brother, Raul Saldivar Jr. Even in the face of loss, Mary’s faithful spirit and kind-hearted nature endured, offering steadiness and comfort to those who leaned on her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Paul Robert Huneycutt; son, Paul Damian Huneycutt; daughter, Marissa Huneycutt; brothers, Jose Saldivar (Joe), Juan Saldivar (Johny), Ricardo Saldivar (Ricky), and Jesus Saldivar (Jesse); and grandchildren, Skyler Abernathy, Paul Jacob Huneycutt, Jackson Huneycutt, Alexander Huneycutt, and Gemma-Lee Harris.
Mary lived a life rooted in faith and filled with joy. She was proud of her family and friends, and she was always ready to offer support—often in the simplest, most meaningful ways. In her later years, much of Mary’s time was spent at the church, where she served as secretary/treasurer. She also helped with the food pantry, guided by a generous heart and a sincere conviction that no one should go without. Through these acts of service, Mary’s compassion and genuine faith touched the lives of the people around her, leaving a cherished and lasting imprint on all who knew and loved her.
