Max Luther Thompson

Mr. Max Luther Thompson, 67 of China Grove, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at his residence. Born on April 26, 1949 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Luther Coolidge and Mary Davis Thompson. A 1967 graduate of South Rowan High School, he was of the Lutheran faith. Mr. Thompson retired from Kosa Fibers after 37 years of service as an electrician. In his personal life, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, restoring old cars, carpentry and farming. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Monica Brooks Thompson, daughter Valarie Thompson Gullett and son Max Dean Thompson, both of China Grove, grandchildren, Ryan and Corbin Gullett, and Alicia and Abbie Thompson all of China Grove. Also surviving him is his aunt Ethel Comer of China Grove.

Visitation will be on Friday from 6:00 til 8:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with a private graveside service on Saturday at 11:00 am at West Lawn Memorial Park with Rev.
