Born on January 15, 1953, to the late James Lee and Helen Hamilton Barbee, Nancy was a woman of quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering love. She dedicated many years to caring for others as a nurse assistant and put her skilled hands to work as a talented seamstress. But the job she loved most was assembling sandblasters at Blast-It-All®—a role she took great pride in.
Nancy built a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Randy, filling their home with warmth, love, and laughter. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren, whom she affectionately called "Monkeys," spoiling them with love and cherished memories. She and Randy shared a love for adventure, traveling together to the beach and beyond, hand in hand, making memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew them. She found happiness in life's simple pleasures—crafting, painting, hunting for treasures at yard sales, tending to her flowers, and watching the birds outside her window.
Nancy's love and legacy live on in her devoted husband of 44 years, Hubert "Randy" Goodman; her children, Stacey and Tommy (Stacie); her brother, James "JC" (Sandy); and her brother-in-law, Rodney Sr. "Mawmaw" will be forever missed and cherished by her nine grandchildren, Brittany (Wesley), Kayley, Grey (Logan), Madison, Avery, Nataley, Jonathan "Jon", Peyton, and Brentley, as well as her great-grandson, Huxley. She also leaves behind her nieces, Samantha (Matthew) and Kim, and nephews, Lee, Charles "CJ" Jr., and Rodney "Mack" Jr. (Katelyn), along with great-nephews, Reed and Roper.
She is now reunited with those who went before her, including her parents, her brother Charles "Chuck" Sr., and her in-laws, Hubert and Vera Mae Goodman.
Nancy was a woman of faith and a devoted member of Organ Lutheran Church in Salisbury. Visitation will be held in the church's parlor on Sunday, February 9, at 2:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, with the burial service to follow.
In honor of her deep gratitude to Organ Lutheran Church, particularly Reverend Tonya Brittain, for their loving care and support, Nancy and the family request that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the church's Community Outreach Ministry, benefiting its food pantry and clothing closet.
Nancy's light will continue to shine in our hearts, her love and joy never forgotten.
