Ruth was born on June 7, 1943 in Suffolk Virginia and was the daughter of the late William Curtis Blewitt and Zella Catherine Nelson Blewitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Wade Watson and her daughter Sherry Watson.
Those with cherished memories are her son Fred Diezel Jr. and brother David William "Billy" Blewitt (Julie).
Professionally, Ruth worked at the Pentagon in administration and later at Fort Belvoir and with the VA Medical Center where she retired. In her spare time she enjoyed dancing and being active.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Burial will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery.
