Nellie Grace Allmon

Mrs. Nellie Allmon, age 88 of China Grove, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at NOVANT-Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Born February 7, 1932, Nellie was the daughter of the late Lemuel Stubbs and Eugenia Farmer Stubbs. Her husband of 63 years, Zeb Allmon and siblings, Tommy Stubbs and Shirley Stubbs also preceded her in death.

Nellie worked for 43 years in the Winder Room at China Grove Textiles. She enjoyed reading, loved to work crossword puzzles, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Gerald Allmon and daughter, Jewell Rutledge (Kenny Stirewalt). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jerry Wayne Allmon and Ronald Stallings, along with her granddogs, Lucky and Katie.

Graveside Service will be on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 1:00pm at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove officiated by Rev. Jimmy Porter. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of NOVANT-Rowan Regional Medical Center and the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House for the excellent care Nellie received during her illness.
